Looking for an ultra-friendly address in Paris's 14th arrondissement, featuring French cuisine inspired by bistronomy? Then look no further than JOOLS, a real place to live, designed as a neighborhood address!

"Bistrot pas chic bon genre": JOOLS sets the tone! If you're looking for luxury, you'll have to pass. On the other hand, if you're looking for a warm and welcoming address, you've come to the right place. And it's true that you'll feel right at home at JOOLS. The two founders of the place, Vanida and Julien, have made it a point of honor to create a restaurant in their image, both friendly and generous.

These two met a long time ago, on the benches of high school in Arles in 1996. Two years later, they are together. Since then, they've never left each other's side, living out their shared passion for the restaurant business in the open. After many years in the business, the couple embarked on a great adventure, opening JOOLS in the spring of 2025 in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Their idea? To offer an old-fashioned bistro, open from early morning to welcome those who get up early and want a coffee before leaving for work. Through this lively place, the couple also want to create a place to live, a neighborhood spirit where people share and where customers are happy to return, and an address where the human touch counts as much as what's on the plate.

And it's fair to say that Vanida and Julien have hit the nail on the head. Pushing open the restaurant's doors on this Tuesday evening, we quickly fell under the spell of the spacious room, the fireplace at the back of the room and the warm, natural decor, combining wood and stone.

We then take a seat near the bar, so as to be right at the heart of the action. On the menu, JOOLS offers homemade dishes, with revisited classics made from seasonal produce. We start with a tastysweet potato tataki, topped with a spicy mayonnaise, sesame seeds and soy sauce. Surprising, tasty and effective! Opposite, we fall for the surprising and oh-so-delicious roasted fennel with Espelette pepper, roasted buckwheat, fromage frais and orange caramel. I love this starter.

On one side, we have Cucugnan dentelles (organic durum wheat pasta) with lemon confit, garlic, lemongrass and Grana Padano shavings. An ultra-generous dish that will delight palates that love tangy flavors. Opposite, we offer a homemade sausage snack flavored with sage and fennel seeds. The recipe is enhanced by a generous, flavorful gravy. A classic of the genre that's always a hit, served with sweet potato purée.

To finish on a sweet note, we share the"cheesecake by JOOLS". We highly recommend this gourmet, creamy vanilla cheesecake with a speculoos base. To die for!

Much more than just a restaurant, JOOLS is a place to meet at any time of day, especially for aperitifs. In fact, the bistro offers a wide range of cocktails (11 cocktails, 9 Spritz and 7 Virgin) for those with a passion for clever drinks. For example, the"Didot Spring". Created by Vanida, it's made with vodka, Prosecco, Pac citron de Provence and blackcurrant liqueur. Opposite is the"Gambetta Spritz", with elderflower liqueur, Prosecco, soda water and Gambetta (a syrup of ancient Provencal origin). As you may have noticed, the couple make a point of using products from their home region. In addition to Gambetta and Pac citron de Provence, Vanida and Julien also offer La Grihète, an organic Camargue lager!

And JOOLS hides many other assets, such as its large corner terrace, or its own blend of coffees, designed in collaboration with the Loutsa roaster, and served as espresso, filter or with different milks.

So whether it's breakfast, lunch, aperitif or dinner, JOOLS is sure to satisfy your taste buds and put a smile on your face!
