In the kitchen is Adel, a resident of Saint-Ouen who considers himself “a big pizza eater” and an absolute fan of the Italian specialty. At the front of house, Amira takes orders and makes the desserts. The couple opened Lili Caffè, named after their daughter, in 2025. It all began on a whim during the Covid-19 crisis, when both of them were out of work and Adel started practicing pizza-making at home. The neighbors loved it, and the couple opted for a food truck before opening their own spot near the famous Puces de Saint-Ouen: Lili Caffè (formerly SO Pizza) was born—a generous, delicious place.
"All the pizzas are named after neighborhoods and squares in Saint-Ouen," Adel explains, with a special tribute to the city’s historic football club, Red Star. "When we opened this place, our philosophy was to cook with good ingredients. Everything fresh, 100% fior di latte for the cheese, and Italian charcuterie," says the pizzaiolo, who got his start by following YouTube tutorials. Regulars come here to enjoy delicious (and generously sized) pizzas: the Arago with its chorizo, the Eugène Berthoud, in the Reine style, the Red Star, and the ever-popular Margherita... There are also specialty pizzas, including one with truffle (the Audonienne), one pairing Parma ham, Parmesan and arugula, and the Palaric with scamorza (smoked mozzarella) and spicy spinata (like spicy chorizo)... Everything is cooked and made to order, right before your eyes.
Pasta lovers will also find plenty to enjoy, from classics like penne all'arrabbiata (spicy tomato sauce) and linguine alle vongole (with clams) to generous ravioli stuffed with Parmesan and basil... Here, too, the pasta and sauces are entirely homemade. Even the desserts!
“Homemade tiramisu is always a hit,” says Adel. “My wife makes it—we’re a family-run place here.” So, if you still have a little room after your main course (the portions are generous), the menu features its must-try tiramisu, a chocolate fondant with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, as well as daily dessert specials that change regularly.
There’s a children’s menu too: for €10, it includes one main course of your choice (mini Margherita pizza, mini Reine pizza or penne with butter and cherry tomatoes), a scoop of homemade ice cream and a cordial with water. At lunchtime, a lunch deal is available (weekdays only, Monday to Friday): expect to pay €15 for the express deal (a pizza priced at up to €15 and a coffee or soft drink), €19 for the cucina deal (a pasta dish from a selection or a large salad, plus the dessert of the day) or €22 for the Lili deal (a favorite pizza, see the menu, the dessert of the day and a coffee).
Expect to pay €11 to €20 for the more elaborate pizzas, €7 to €9 for a bruschetta, €7 to €15 for a salad, and €16 to €22 for a pasta dish. All desserts are priced at €7.
All in all, Lili Caffè is a particularly generous place: from Adel and Amira’s warm welcome to the quality of the food, the portion sizes and the flavor of the ingredients. In short, it’s a place not to be missed if you’re visiting the Puces de Saint-Ouen!
