Fuga R, the new rooftop with a 360-degree panorama of Paris

To everyone's surprise, the Riviera Fuga restaurant made us rethink our preconceptions about dining on barges - a format rarely truly thrilling in Paris. Plain and simple, this spot from the groupe Fuga had us completely conquered, thanks as much to its setting (moorings on the river, facing the city’s grandest monuments) as to its decor (a seaside vacation vibe) and its fusion cuisine (half-Japanese, half-Italian), a guaranteed touch of originality.

With the sunny days firmly settling in the capital, the Fuga group (owners of Laïa and Francette) unveils its new project, and it’s a standout. You’ll want to head to the chic neighborhoods starting May 6, 2026 to discover Fuga R, the new rooftop with the group’s signature panoramic views. A venue that’s bound to be the talk of the town very, very quickly.

Perched on the 12th floor with a 360-degree view of Paris, from Montmartre to the Eiffel Tower, gliding over the zinc rooftops of the City of Light, Fuga R will offer cocktails, food, pizzettes and live music. To get there, you’ll pass through the garden and take the restaurant’s discreet elevator at Laïa Monceau.

Conceived as a getaway between Paris and the Canary Islands, the cocktail menu puts a premium on reinvented classics and on creations with Spanish accents: Lanzarita (tequila blanco infused with jalapeño, pepper juice, oregano, lime, bergamot), Fuga Colada (a clarified version of the piña colada), Jardin Suspendu (green Chartreuse, sage, lime)... A reason to raise a toast anytime!

On the food side as well, we nibble our way through a Mediterranean-tinged menu imagined by chef Fanny Herpin : pimientos de Padron, croquetas de cabillaud, ceviche of octopus with citrus and crispy guanciale, smoked eggplant cannoli, fried calamari, and not to be missed the laïazzas version of ventresca tuna, mortadella or black truffle!
