After the success of Armande Montmartre, Margaux and Sébastien are opening Armande Lepic, a handcrafted takeout sandwich shop nestled along the steep slope of Rue Lepic.

Located on Rue Lepic in Montmartre, Armande Lepic is the newest artisan sandwich shop founded by Margaux and Sébastien, the team behind Armande Montmartre. Following the success of Armande’s catering version, they’ve now opened this second spot just a few steps away from the original, slightly lower down on the hill.

There are no sit-down tables here; instead, lunch is grabbed and carried out into the streets of the neighborhood. Nearby, the stairs of Sacré-Cœur and the surrounding parks become prime spots to soak up the sun.

The menu at Armande Lepic puts a fresh spin on classic dishes. The Lepic Club (€11, perhaps a tad steep for a club sandwich) is packed with generous layers of chicken, complemented by a tangy cabbage slaw with pink berries, red onion pickles, eggs, cilantro, and a miso-infused mayonnaise. All of this is nestled in a soft bread from MOF baker Frédéric Lalos, as with all the breads used in the restaurant.

Crispy baguette, airy sandwich bread, soft buns—each recipe finds its perfect home here. Le Prince (€8) showcases heritage, paying tribute with carefully selected ingredients in a classic ham-and-butter sandwich. It features slices of Prince of Paris ham (as local as it gets), aged Cantal cheese, gherkin pickles, chervil, and whipped butter flavored with Espelette pepper.

Several croques are available to complete the offering at the House, including the classic Croque Monsieur for €6, as well as a truffle version for €7. There’s also a golden, fluffy pastrami bun — so delicious you’ll want to lick your fingers. Served hot, it’s filled with thin slices of pastrami and high-quality, melty cheddar. And for those with meat-free cravings, the cheesy vegetarian sandwich hits the spot.

For an additional €3 at lunch, you can take away a drink or a dessert. On one side, in-house refreshments such as rosemary syrup lemonade, cold verveine with ginger, mint, and agave, or grapefruit with rose water—all priced at €4.50. On the other side, there are also homemade desserts crafted by Margaux herself.

Banana bread free from gluten and lactose (€4), chocolate-hazelnut fleur de sel cookies (€4), but it was the lemon brownie with zesty lemon curd (€4.50) that caught our eye—and we’re glad we went for it. In Montmartre, the grab-and-go sandwich suddenly takes on the charm of handcrafted gastronomy!
