Mochis are coming in numbers in Paris. After opening not long ago the Maison du Mochi, here’s that British ice cream Mochi brand Little Moons is coming to Paris too.
At the origin of the brand, Vivien and Howard Wong, Asian siblings who wished to modernize this 10,000-year-old culinary tradition.
Because yes, mochi is the most enjoyed dessert in Japan. Traditionally enjoyed on New Year’s Day during a ceremony called mochitsuki, mochis are made by pounding sweet steamed sticky rice until it becomes elastic and soft.
Inside the shell is added a soft ganache or ice cream heart for a result that has less than 90 calories – for Little Moons mochis which recipes are made by top London chefs (Nobu, Fat Duck and Zuma).
