Italian cuisine keeps inspiring! Proof of it, a new restaurant promoting the gastronomy from the country of the Dolce Vita has just opened in the French capital.
Called The Brooklyn Pizzeria, this new place has opened in early September 2018 in Paris 3rd arrondissement, a few steps only from the Place de La Bastille.
Behind The Brooklyn Pizzeria, we have Garry Dorr already behind the success of The Little Italy in the 17th arrondissement.
And for this new Parisian address, Garry Dorr spared no expenses. After a very friendly welcome and a smile from the 100% Italian staff with a melodious accent, we’re blown away by the décor brilliantly taking over the codes of the industrial spirit of New York southern neighborhoods. Red bricked walls, exposed pipes and waxed concrete under the flattering light, the magic works! We fall for the huge pizza oven set at the entrance of the restaurant and customized with a massive skull. Skulls we also have on several lights.
The place offers several areas and counts up to 250 seats including 120 on the terrace; a splendid green terrace that will be heated as soon as the cold comes.
Once seated, we browse through The Brooklyn Pizzeria menu, both rich, varied and adorned with humor. You’ll see for yourself.
To fulfill patrons’ taste buds, The Brooklyn Pizzeria works with extremely well-sourced Italian produces (even the flour is Italian), the whole in a Trattoria atmosphere. And we can feel it in the plates, for example with this huge mixed board for €17 including DOP di parma ham cured for 24 months, dry sausage with truffles and fennel, DOP mortadella, creamy burratina, grilled vegetables. A true delight to share without moderation!
Next, it’s an explosion of flavors as soon as we bite into it thanks to the Mafaldine with fresh truffles from Molise (€18) with homemade pasta, perfectly cooked, genuine thin slices of truffle delicately put on the past, DOP 36-month parmesan and DOP mozza Fior di latte, the whole served in an impressive copper pot. One of our favorites!
Moving on to pizzas – Neapolitan of course – we go for and immediately fall in love with the “Burratissima Véronique André” with San Marzano DOP tomatoes, its exquisite creamy burrata, rocket and basil. No doubt, Naples has come to our plate.
And if you wonder what’s the most coveted pizza among the 13 creations, go for the “Parma Big Love”, shaped like a heart and including San Marzano DOP tomatoes, DOP mozza Fior di latte, 24-month DOP parmesan, DOP pecorino and basil from the garden!
And The Brooklyn Pizzeria also thinks about tighter budgets by offering the authentic Margherita pizza for €4 only!
For the rest, the restaurant offers risotto and other great Italian classics such as antipasti.
To end on a sweet note, you can choose between a Nutella pizza, a big profiterole served in a pot and even the Tiramisu Classico served with a big spoon! As for us, we chose the delicious and flavorful Sicilian pistachio tiramisu (€8) and a delicious homemade Piedmont hazelnut ice cream (€4)!

And to go along with these beautiful and delicious plates, The Brooklyn Pizzeria invites lovers of cocktails to enjoy its classic Spritz or its surprising and thirst-quenching Spritz with elderflower liquor.
We leave this dinner with a smile on our lips and satisfied taste buds thanks to this hearty and delicious 100% Italian cuisine and its furiously industrial décor offering in the end a totally unique travel you really want to experience!
