Head to Paris 8th arrondissement and especially the Boulevard Haussmann to discover a brand-new and indulging address that has been recently inaugurated: brasserie Pastis. Running the place, the team already behind Brasserie Cézanne; and the name of this new place may have given you a clue about what you can enjoy: cuisine with the sweet flavors from the Mediterranean.
In an atmosphere reminding us of the old narrow streets in Sicilian villages, for lunch, for a pre-dinner drink, or dinner, enjoy dishes created by young chef Alexandre Laumont. Coming from South Italy, he draws inspiration from his many travels around the world to serve you colorful plates.
On the menu, he creates a surprise with unexpected pairing, inspired by his travels from Switzerland to Japan, from Asia to south-west Africa. Among the flagship dishes based on fresh produces from Italy, truffled and mozzarella arancini, linguine all vongole, spaghetti cacio e pepe, beef tagliata for meat fans, and gilthead seabream with herbs if you are more into fish, without forgetting marinated and grilled vegetables.
To pair these sun-filled dishes, go for one of the many signature cocktails such as the “Promenade sous les amandiers” based on Pastis Henri Bardouin, Amaretto Disaronno, almond syrup, squeezed lime, and the “Sweet provençal Honey” based on thyme-infused Gin Bombay, cranberry, squeezed lime, Provence honey.
