Somewhere between breakfast and lunch, brunch brings everyone together with a host of gourmet recipes, hot and cold drinks and à la carte desserts. Brunch is usually served between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., for a leisurely start to the Sunday. Some concepts even offer all-you-can-eat buffets, to make sure your kids (and you) get absolutely everything they want, sweet or savory.
More and more, we're seeing the emergence of kid-friendly brunches, with an all-you-can-eat brunch formula adapted for the little ones and a children's price on the menu. Restaurants, coffeeshops and other family concepts have planned a whole program to entertain your little ones while you take your time over brunch. Entertainment, creative activities, sports, culinary workshops and even a party: there's plenty for the little ones to do, let off steam and have fun, while the grown-ups take their time getting a refill and enjoying the moment.
The menu usually includes the great breakfast classics: pastries, fruit juices, coffees and hot chocolates, waffles, crepes... and a whole range of savoury options for a truly hearty meal, including pizzas, street food, toasts, croque-monsieur, focaccias... depending on the location, cuisine and inspiration.
In short, there's sure to be something for everyone, and the menus are generous: the perfect combo for an idle Sunday morning, to enjoy a convivial moment with the family. But be warned: brunch is such a hit in Paris that some places are booked up days or even weeks in advance! Make sure you book in advance to avoid unnecessary stress.
