For Easter 2026, the Crillon Hotel lights up the season with a novel chocolate creation imagined by its Pastry Chef Matthieu Carlin, on Place de la Concorde in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. A limited-edition Easter egg to order online and bring home, to tuck a touch of palace elegance into your festive table. And for those wishing to extend the experience on site, Crillon also offers a Easter tea time and a brunch in its historic salons.
This year, Matthieu Carlin turns his gaze toward one of the most iconic elements of the Parisian landscape: the lamp post at Place de la Concorde, originally designed in the 19th century by Jacques-Ignace Hittorff. Reinterpreted in a new form, its elegant lines now manifest as a chocolate sculpture, with the crown subtly incorporating the logo of the Hôtel de Crillon and the emblem of the City of Paris. This piece shines a light on the history of the square and its fountains, just as the chef envisioned when creating this artistic tribute.
In terms of design, the piece features a striking contrast: one side is crafted from high-quality milk chocolate 42%, warm and creamy, while the other side showcases dark chocolate 66%, richer and more intense. The top and base are adorned with a delicately crispy almond-hazelnut praline, enhanced with shards of gavotte biscuits to create an enticing play of textures—soft and crunchy. This limited edition Easter egg is available at €85 each, with pre-orders opening on March 1, 2026, via the Crillon’s website. Customers can pick up their order between March 27 and April 19, 2026.
For an exclusive Easter 2026 experience right at the palace, the Crillon is offering two delectable events. The Hiver Garden will host a special chocolate Easter tea time, available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from March 20 to May 3, 2026, priced at 88 € per adult and 28 € for children up to 12 years old. On Sunday, April 5, 2026, the Historical Salons will open their doors for a family-friendly Easter brunch. Kids can enjoy an egg hunt, while parents indulge in a takeaway homemade hazelnut spread. Reserve your spot for 245 € per adult (including a glass of Champagne) and 125 € for children aged 6 to 12.
Beyond the signature egg, Matthieu Carlin shines a new Easter-Spring menu with revisited classics such as the Millefeuille with Tahitian vanilla, the Paris-Brest with Sicilian pistachio, or the Strawberry tart with Madagascar vanilla. Chocolate lovers will find his signature pieces including the dark Bolivian chocolate with a praline hazelnut heart, as well as new bars. The seasonal entremets Fraisier and Framboisier bring their fruity, sun-kissed touch to beautifully close this spring selection.
