While we'll soon know where to savor the best galette in Île-de-France, the Syndicat des Boulangers du Grand Paris has lifted the veil on the 2025 results for the best traditional baguette in Val-de-Marne.
This autumn, the department's employers, employees and apprentices were still out in force to try their luck at the coveted title. To convince the jury, competing bakers had to submit their traditional French baguettes to the Val-de-Marne Chamber of Trades and Crafts.
After smelling, touching and tasting the various baguettes presented for the occasion, the jury delivered its results on October 14, 2025. So, who takes first prize for the best traditional baguette in 94? This year, Jean-Baptiste Bertrand of Maison Bertrand, Sucy-en-Brie, wins in the " Chefs d'entreprise " category. Yohan Pongnian, from the Racines Urbaines bakery in Fontenay-sous-Bois, took second place. Finally, Ludovic Janus, from La Mie Maisonnaise in Maisons-Alfort, came third.
In the " employees " category, Meme Coulibaly, working at Fred Boulangeries in Perreux-sur-Marne, won the competition. Finally, Assia Mcirdi from Racines Urbaines bakery took first place in the " apprentice " category.
