Travelers and tourists beware: line 14 of the Paris metro, which connects Paris Orly airport with the capital, will be out of service for several days from Monday August 4, 2025. We take a look at the alternatives!
With the onset of summer, and in particular the month of August, the Parisian public transport network,
RATP, takes advantage of the lull to carry out work on its lines. This can sometimes be unlucky for users and tourists in the Paris region during this period.
This time, it's a disruption that should particularly affect travellers arriving at or departing from
Paris Orly airport.
Line 14, which connects the capital with the airport, will be completely interrupted at the beginning of August. More precisely,
from August 4 to 8, 2025, no trains will run on this line.
But what are the alternatives for passengers? While a replacement bus is planned between Gare de Lyon and Olympiades, the
journey between Orly airport and Paris is a different matter.
RATP recommends taking line 7 and the Tramway T7 or the
OrlyVal shuttle.
The Bonjour RATP application should give you a precise itinerary.
