Aquathlon Paris 2026: the swim-and-run race returns to Paris in August - registrations open

Want to trade your simple Sunday jog for something different? Organized by the Ligue Île-de-France de Triathlon, the Aquathlon Paris returns on Sunday, August 30, 2026 after its inaugural edition in 2025 along the Seine, at Bras Marie, as part of Paris Plages. This year, participants set their sights on the 19th arrondissement. A new swimming lane, but the same principle: leave the pool and start running right away, keeping up the pace.

Paris Aquathlon 2026 Schedule:

• 7 a.m.: the site and the transition area open
• 8 a.m.: first round of the Eliminator Aquathlon, featuring 300 meters of swimming and 2 kilometers of running
• 9 a.m.: second round of the Eliminator Aquathlon
• 9:20 a.m.: final round of the Eliminator Aquathlon
• 9:45 a.m.: start of the Aquathlon S, with 1 kilometer of swimming followed by 4 kilometers of running
• 11 a.m.: start of the Aquathlon XS, comprising 500 meters of swimming and 2 kilometers of running
• 11:45 a.m.: site and transition area close

The Eliminator and S formats are open to participants born in 2010 or earlier, while XS is available to those born in 2014 or earlier.

The events unfold around the Bassin de la Villette. After the swimming leg, competitors pass through the transition area, lace up their shoes, and head to the quays for the running portion. The course also lets the crowd follow the key moments, from the start in the water to the finish line.
