The Paris 2024 Olympic Games had set the tone. And now, since this summer of 2025, it's possible for the general public! For the first time in around 100 years, bathing in the Seine is once again open to Parisians, old and new. This should be a real game-changer for the capital's summer season, as the City of Light could well adopt a seaside resort feel, especially in very hot weather.

Three new bathing sites will be open to the public in the Seine for summer 2025. One of them awaits us in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, below the Parc de Bercy, on either side of the Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir and opposite the Bibliothèque Nationale François Mitterrand and not far from the piscine Joséphine Baker. This part of the quays of the Seine, not far from Bercy Village, is characterized by a rather festive atmosphere, with the presence of numerous cultural terraces and concert boats: from Petit Bain to Bateau-Phare, via Plat/Form and the Quai de la Photo, there's already a chill and trendy spirit here, making it a good place to stop off.
Two free, protected bathing areas are planned, which will not interfere with the navigation of boats on the Seine. One of the pools is 35 meters long and 12.5 meters wide, while the second, larger pool is 67 meters long and 11 meters wide. The quayside area includes a solarium with PRM access, changing rooms, showers, toilets and, of course, a first-aid station. The site will have a total capacity of 700 people simultaneously, including 300 bathers. Join us from July 5 to August 31, 2025, to enjoy this brand-new swimming spot.
