Musée Marmottan Monet by night: discover Impressionist works every Thursday evening

It's not always easy to enjoy cultural outings and exhibitions in the middle of the week, between daily life and work. Fortunately, if you're more available at the end of the day, many Paris museums offer evening visits, such as the Musée Marmottan Monet on Thursday evenings, so you can explore the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions more calmly.

Housed in the mansion of art patron and collector Paul Marmottan, the museum now boasts the world's most exceptional collection of works by Claude Monet, as well as a remarkable array of works by Berthe Morisot, illuminations, objects from the First Empire and Impressionist painters such as Manet, Degas, Sisley and Gauguin. The impressive Monet collection, displayed in a room designed by Jacques Carlu, offers a unique visual progression between the master's works.

Visit the collections every Thursday until 9pm, with last admission at 8pm. The full-price ticket is €14, with a reduced rate of €9 for under-18s. To avoid unpleasant surprises on arrival, and to guarantee your place, the museum recommends reserving your paid admission slot in advance.
