In spite of ourselves, the week is not reserved for discovering exhibitions in Parisian museums! But it is still possible to find time to visit them after working hours, thanks to certain institutions that offer nocturnes, a chance to observe the collections in a more intimate atmosphere, after the usual opening hours. At the Musée Jacquemart-André, it's Friday night!
Located at 158 boulevard Haussmann, the museum is housed in a sumptuous Second Empire mansion built between 1869 and 1875 for banker Édouard André and his wife, painter Nélie Jacquemart. The latter wanted to create a place dedicated to art, music and culture.
The couple's exceptional collection includes works by masters such as Rembrandt, Botticelli, Van Dyck, Fragonard and Uccello, as well as European and Oriental objets d'art. The museum also houses richly decorated salons, tapestries and period furniture, immersing visitors in the atmosphere of a 19th-century aristocratic residence.

Visit the collections every Friday until 10pm, except in summer. Full-price tickets cost €18.5 with the temporary exhibition, with a reduced rate of €15 for under-26s, and a lower price of €11 to €13 when there is no temporary exhibition. To avoid unpleasant surprises on arrival, and to guarantee your place, the museum recommends reserving your paid visit slot in advance. The museum often offers events such as guided or theatrical tours, opera evenings and more.
