A Thousand and One Orchids 2025: the Jardin des Plantes flower show unveiled

From February 6 to March 10, 2025, the Mille et une Orchidées (A Thousand and One Orchids ) exhibition is once again calling on all flower lovers, and orchids in particular. Join us in the Grandes Serres of the Jardin des Plantes for an immersion into hundreds of flower varieties.

This 12ᵉ edition highlights the natural environments and different environments where orchids live, through photographic illustrations, which take us on a journey from forest to savannah, via steppes and mountain meadows. Two special tours, by Christophe Duminil, head of the Senate orchid collection, and by the gardeners of the Grandes Serres and the Arboretum de Versailles-Chèvreloup, also await you.

Hundreds of corollas, magnified by passionate gardeners, await you in this tropical greenhouse built in the 1930s, featuring wild and horticultural species from the Arboretum.

Over an area of 1,000 m², wild and cultivated species from the greenhouses of theArboretum de Versailles-Chèvreloup and specialized growers populate the majestic 1930s tropical greenhouse. New features include an immersive photographic exhibition, showing the diversity of orchids around the world, from tropical forests to steppes and mountains.

The educational events are aimed at everyone, from experts to neophytes. It's an opportunity to discover original orchids, learn about their care, and even try your hand at repotting. An ephemeral sales area of 200 m² also enables you to acquire superb orchid specimens.

This year, several exhibitors are present:

• Ville de Paris (Jardin botanique / Serres d'Auteuil): exceptional collection of botanical orchids and colorful hybrids.
• Orchidées de Prestige: producer in the Yonne region, specializing in exceptional phalaenopsis.
• L'Orchidium : based near Blois, expert in hybrid and botanical varieties, with a fine collection of Vanda.
• Maison Vacherot & Lecoufle : established in 1886 in Boissy-Saint-Léger, conservatory of Cattleya and Paphiopedilum.
• Les Orchidées du Val d'Yerres: specialist in tropical epiphytes, present for the third year running.
• Ryanne Orchidée: Belgian producer, a regular exhibitor since the second edition.
• La Cour des Orchidées: Essonne nursery, growing over 10,000 orchids from all over the world.

The event also welcomes the Fédération France Orchidées (FFO ) and the Association Française, Culture et Protection des Orchidées (AFCPO), who will be sharing their advice and running practical workshops.
