What if we took a closer look at the fruits and vegetables of yesteryear and today? The Domaine de Méréville is hosting the latest edition of its event dedicated to vegetable, fruit, and aromatic plants, in Essonne, on Sunday, May 10, 2026. It’s a chance to celebrate the revival of its historic orchard garden, nestled within a picturesque park designated as a Historic Monument and a Remarkable Garden, dating back to the 18th century. This outdoor, family-friendly day promises a fun-filled, nature-centered experience.
The Rotary Club Evry-Corbeil wants to help people discover old and new varieties of all these plants, and enable the general public tolearn how to grow and prepare them, while at the same time raising awareness among the people of Ile-de-France of the richness of local produce and short distribution channels. Funds raised will be donated to Rotary and the Essonne Mécénat foundation.
Many exhibitors and producers (vegetable plants, fruit trees, local products, gardening tools and equipment) will be on hand to share their expertise. Visitors can also take part in workshops, talks, and strolls through the area, discover beekeeping firsthand, swap plants at a plant exchange, or enjoy a family-friendly show—all great opportunities to pick up new skills and knowledge!
