Le Jardin, the Rooftop Terrace at Cheval Blanc Paris for Summer 2025

Fancy a hot terrace-garden? Head for the 650 m² rooftop of Cheval Blanc Paris, which is reopening its verdant terraces for sublime moments above the Paris skyline from May 15 to September 15, 2025.

Every summer, we set off in search of the most beautiful terraces in Paris, the new spots and especially the rooftop ones, which we love because they allow us to have Paris at our feet, like a backdrop to the most beautiful monuments. Among the chic, confidential and even hidden terraces, let's discover those of Cheval Blanc on the banks of the Seine, next to La Samaritaine.

Once again this year, it's sunshine on the rooftop terrace of the Cheval Blanc. From May 15 to September 15, 2025, you'll be in 7th heaven! Or rather, on the 7th floor of this luxury hotel, with sunglasses on. Once you've taken the elevator up, you'll find yourself on the huge 650 m² terrace. From Montmartre to the Eiffel Tower, via Notre-Dame and the Louvre colonnade, the setting is magical.

It really feels like a garden. Plants, trees, flowers and rosebushes are all part of a welcoming, green space. On site, the offer is relaxed and convivial, and you don't just have to sit back and enjoy a fine cocktail accompanied by the beautiful creations ofArnaud Donckele, William Béquin and Maxime Frédéric on the sweet side.

La Carte - the menu :

For lunch or dinner in this magical setting, chefs Arnaud Donckele and William Béquin have devised a short, colorful menu based around strawberries and tomatoes. Small stuffed dishes, tomato and poultry, peppers and beef, onions and veal... are just some of the discoveries to be made. For our part, we've fallen for the delicious, colorful Tomato Tart with its delectable tomato sauce, the French Toast with Iberian Ham and therefined Gambero Rosso Carpaccio .

On the main course, we were seduced by the gourmet Vegetable Bun and the Grilled Lobster in Shell, presented in a smoked casserole dish. Accompanied by paella-style rice, simmered tomatoes and homemade gnocchi, we're in for a treat.

You'll also fall for the delights of Maxime Frédéric, who once again brings us his famous Italian-style ice cream cup in a strawberry swirl. New this year: a raspberry coupe with a pistachio praline center, and a chocolate and sky coupe. A vacherin is also on the menu.

During the meal, the waiter comes to offer you a postcard from the garden, to be filled in and addressed to the person of your choice. The team will then stamp and mail it for you. It's a nice touch that makes you feel like you're on vacation. This terrace, far from the hustle and bustle of Paris, has the advantage of not being crowded. We loved the peacefulness of the place, the attentive service and the dishes that combine taste and savoir-faire. Admittedly, the prices are palatial, but a nice ice cream sundae is still affordable. With its unique view, it's well worth the detour.
