From Montmartre to Abbesses, from the Sacré-Cœur to Jules Joffrin, the 18th arrondissement is far more than a postcard. Discover its terraces with a view—hidden gems or livelier spots!

Climb a few steps, turn the corner and watch Paris unfold in the distance... Montmartre retains a magnetic pull that's hard to beat! The Sacré-Cœur, the place du Tertre, the vignes and the cobbled streets make up the most recognizable face of the 18th arrondissement.

Yet, you just have to head down from the Butte to uncover far less touristy scenes. Abbesses keeps a lively buzz, Jules Joffrin exudes a neighborhood vibe, while Barbès and La Chapelle stand as proof of a cosmopolitan, bubbling Paris. Paris 18 is therefore well worth exploring beyond its must-sees!

As for the terraces, they sometimes enjoy a real edge: the scenery. Some offer a higher vantage point or a glimpse of the Paris roofs, while others nestle on a small square or in a quieter street. You can drop by after climbing the Butte, before a show, or simply let the afternoon drift away with a drink in hand.

So, here are the terraces to discover in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, from Montmartre to the less expected neighborhoods!
