Matchplay Society: a playful golf simulator, darts, and Italian finger food in the heart of the 17th arrondissement

In the heart of the Batignolles, Matchplay Society is pitched as much a bar with Italian influences as a playground. Far from the intimidating greens that intimidate beginners, this spot invites everyone to discover the indoor golf, but also the darts, in a friendly and playful setting, all while enjoying a slice of pizza or a cocktail, without any fuss.

To prove to your friends you’ve got the best swing—or simply out of curiosity—five ultra-realistic golf bays await players of all levels, letting you tackle legendary international courses or take on original challenges.

If professionals can definitely sharpen their skills thanks to the precision of this technology (we met one during our visit), the majority of us will opt to start with some fun games to get acquainted.

We picked up our golf clubs and balls, starting with a little mini-golf! After paying, you’re free to roam on your bay thanks to a touchscreen that lets you manage everything. It’s even possible to switch viewpoints on the tablet to get another shooting angle, for example, onto the giant screen. It took a few tries to gauge the right power—neither too much nor too little—which was a bit disorienting at first because it’s different from traditional mini-golf!

A very amusing moment, sparking a friendly little rivalry among friends! We moved on to two more games, including one that looked like Pokémon Go where you catch monsters, but you can also challenge your friends on truly immersive and realistic real-life courses!

For those who prefer darts over on-the-table clubs, five connected dartboards with automatic scoring and immersive animations. Like golf, several game modes exist, ranging from traditional competition to rounds where the goal is to be the first to reach 0. We loved the idea of "memes" after every three-dart throw, celebrating solid scores or ribbing us with a healthy dose of humor!

And if you don’t have room for both sports, another space offers footgolf, goal shoots, and mini-challenges, the venue laid out over two levels, with cozy spots to settle in and snack around. Here, there are no level barriers, the experience is designed to be intuitive and accessible to everyone.

An ideal vibe for afterworks, especially since the venue offers a finger-food menu inspired by Italy, spanning pizzas, arancini, polpette, boards to share, or tiramisu, all prepared by genuine Italians and delivered daily, not to mention cocktails, Italian wines, and non-alcoholic options. We had the chance to sample a mixed board with delicious cheeses and indulgent, delicate beef meatballs, alongside two mocktails to refresh.

When we dropped by around 8 p.m., there were no pizza slices left besides the truffle one, so it’s best to order as soon as you arrive to be sure you get one. Likewise, the place has just opened (in May 2026) and the team is still finding its feet, so service can sometimes take a little longer.

Count on one price per bay, no matter how many players, a setup that clearly favors groups over solo players or duos. Rates vary by time, with prices rising after 5 p.m. until closing, ranging from 26 to 36 euros per hour for darts and 38 to 58 euros for golf and multisport. So, if you can, drop by during the day—there’s typically a bit less crowd in the daytime!

Note that the venue is air-conditioned, a genuinely pleasant spot to enjoy a good time as soon as the heatwave arrives, and, year-round, for its warm, convivial atmosphere in a beautiful, inviting decor!
