On Sunday, January 25, 2026, the Saint-Ouen Municipal Council is hosting its annual charity and celebration event: the Big Disco Soup. This full day is dedicated to cooking while fighting food waste, with the talented chef Charlotte Fulcrand, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To take part, it costs 5 euros, and you’ll need to register in advance as only the first 1,000 participants will be admitted. But it’s not just about cooking—you’ll also get the chance to dance the night away!
While a mountain of unsold vegetables, deemed too ugly and gathered from local shops, will be peeled by eager hands — both yours and volunteers' — DJ Mousky will be setting the mood to match the lively atmosphere. Like last March with Jean Covillault, chef and photographer Charlotte Fulcrand sees cooking as a platform for advocating sustainable, accessible, and respectful eating — all without sacrificing flavor or the joy of good food.
As part of this event, the local Zéro Waste Saint-Ouen group will be on-site to raise awareness about the importance of reducing waste. If you’re interested, you can purchase a suspended soup for seven euros, allowing you to give a warm meal to someone in need.
