La Papote is the name of the restaurant-bar and B&B that welcomes you to the village of Bourron Marlotte in Seine-et-Marne (77). On the outskirts of the Fontainebleau forest and 1 hour from Paris, you'll love this address, which combines charming surroundings, a lively terrace and fresh, seasonal cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Located in the picturesque village of Bourron-Marlotte, close to the Fontainebleau forest, La Papote is the place to go for a good time in a haven of peace. Opened in April 2023, this restaurant-bar and B&B offers fine food in a historically rich setting. Once an inn frequented by 19th-century artists, the place has been meticulously transformed by Émilie and Ludwik, the passionate managers whose aim was to create an atmosphere of conviviality and sharing.

Chefs Sarah and Clément orchestrate an inventive menu, renewed monthly to highlight the freshness of the produce. We love the pretty combinations and freshness of the dishes, and the beautiful cellar. Service is impeccable, with a smile, and you're sure to have a great time. On sunny days, the terrace increases the number of places to eat and drink in a green setting.

Among the dishes to discover at the moment, thesoft-boiled egg is a real delight. Accompanied by its parsnip variation and homemade green oil, this simple yet refined dish awakens the taste buds with subtlety and finesse. For lovers of bolder flavors, the Aubrac beef tataki with chimichurri sauce and smoked paprika mayonnaise is a delight. This dish combines the tenderness of quality meat with condiments full of character.

Vegetarians and vegans are not left out with the smoked leek, served with a smooth cashew nut cream. This dish puts the spotlight on the leek, often relegated to the background, and transforms it into the star thanks to a homemade smoking technique that exalts its flavors. The dahl fry with coral lentils and chickpeas, served with cardamom Basmati rice, also offers a tasty, gourmet choice. A beautiful combination rich in spices and fresh herbs, it's sure to please. Of course, all this changes regularly, so don't get too used to it.
