On Rue de Grenelle, in the 7th arrondissement, two brothers have just opened Cody, an excellent bagel shop in the 7th arrondissement.

This is the story of two brothers, Louis and Charles, who set out to make Paris the bagel capital of the world. Well, almost. In any case, they've just got started with the opening of their very first corner, Cody's Bagels, on rue de Grenelle, in the 7th arrondissement.

From a family well established in the restaurant business - having owned Relais de l'Entrecôte for several generations - the two brothers offer a small menu of bagels to take away from a little kiosk on a street corner. "Cody, it comes from a town I used to go to, in the United States, in Wyoming," explains Louis. "My grandfather had a ranch there, and we'd have a bagel every morning," says the founder. So the idea was born to offer a Parisian corner inspired by their New York and London cousins, where you'd find "really good bagels", prepared fresh and using quality products.

Finally, you'll be spoilt for choice with bagels topped with pastrami or smoked turkey, cream cheese, crudités... We recommend the Classic Pastrami with eyes closed, the Smoked or Flying Turkey, the Cody with smoked salmon or the plain bagels topped with cream cheese to take on the go. " We wanted to keep things simple: turkey, pastrami, smoked salmon and vegetables," explains Louis, with products delivered to the shop every morning. What's more, all bagels are customizable: for people with special diets, such as vegan or vegetarian, it's possible to customize each recipe (at no extra charge) to suit.

On the sweet side, the corner offers bagels sweetened with spread, excellent cookies from a Parisian coffeeshop, cinnamon rolls... And let's not forget the coffeeshop section, with plenty of lattes, cappuccinos and other coffees to take away all day long. Cody's Bagels is open every day from 9am to 5pm. You can expect to pay between €6 and €12 for a bagel, but it's also possible to have them on the menu, for an additional €4 for chips and a soft drink.
