Behind this discreetly charming establishment lies a true story of passion, sharing, and transmission. Since its opening in June 2020 in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, Hutong Paris has carved out a place for itself in the Parisian culinary landscape thanks to its continuous service from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (every day except Wednesday and Saturday), its affordable prices—expect to pay around €20 for a full meal—and, above all, its sincere, flavorful home cooking, which you can watch being prepared in the large open kitchen.
What makes Hutong Paris unique is its soul. Here, everyone feels at home, whether they are tourists in search of authenticity, hungry high school students, or the oldest customer, Eveline, a loyal 96-year-old. " Over the past five years, we've seen couples form, weddings take place, and families move away, but our customers keep coming back, drawn by word of mouth. That's our greatest reward," explains Maxime, co-founder of the restaurant.
Recognition was not long in coming: Hutong Paris is one of actress Marie's 10 favorite places in Paris, proof of its popularity far beyond the neighborhood.
The highlight of the culinary show? The famous Guoties (grilled ravioli) or Xiao Long Bao (steamed ravioli stuffed with broth), which are a must-try. To complete the experience, treat yourself to a homemade Bubble Waffle or Bubble Tea. Vegetarian and vegan options are not forgotten, carefully designed to satisfy all taste buds.
Behind the scenes, the team functions like a big family. Yanan, chef and co-founder, is the living memory of northern Chinese recipes. Originally from Beijing, she puts her heart and soul into the restaurant, paying homage to the traditional hutongs of her hometown. She is supported by Dandan, Khan, and Mounir, a cheerful and dedicated team. In the dining room, Maxime liaises with guests: " Hutong Paris offers simple, accessible cuisine that we want to open up to as many people as possible. We work every day to provide an unforgettable dining experience. "

Another remarkable asset: Hutong Paris advocates a solidarity-based pricing policy. In five and a half years, prices have only been revised twice, with modest adjustments despite soaring costs. " Our serving of six guoties has gone from €8 to just €8.50, while the price of beef has increased by 80%. Enjoying good food should not become a luxury," insists Maxime.
Ideally located, Hutong Paris fits perfectly into a day of cultural exploration. After (or before) your meal, you can stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg, visit the Panthéon, the Musée Zadkine, theFondation Cartier ( ) or even discover the nearby Catacombs.
