Just a stone’s throw from Place de l'Étoile and the Avenue de la Grande Armée, Les Jardins du Presbourg stands out as a must-visit spot in the 16th arrondissement. Designed to resemble a lush indoor garden, this restaurant, curated by Martin Brudnizki, offers a poetic escape where guests can leisurely enjoy their day from dawn till dusk.
The venue unfolds across several inviting and distinct spaces: a welcoming, well-lit bar, cozy lounges, a bright veranda, and a terrace especially pleasant during sunny days. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed to evoke a different mood depending on the time of day. Mornings are characterized by soft pastel and gold tones, creating a soothing atmosphere ideal for a relaxed breakfast. As the day progresses, the ambiance gradually shifts to a livelier, music-filled evening, perfect for unwinding and socializing.
On the plate, the Jardins du Presbourg menu offers a generous and diverse selection. Classic French favorites feature prominently, such as homemade foie gras served with toasted bread (€35), luxurious Osciètre Royal caviar paired with blinis and crème fraîche (€130 for 30g), and the smoked salmon dressed with cucumber and dill cream. Comfort food lovers can indulge in the velvety pumpkin velouté (€16) or the hearty seasonal mushroom sauté (€23).
During our visit, we sampled several specialties that are well worth a try. For starters, the wild sea bass ceviche seasoned with calamansi vinegar (28€) delivers a delightful burst of freshness on the palate. The warm artichoke and truffle with Parmesan (25€) is a treat for mushroom lovers, while the scallop carpaccio with lime and olive oil (27€) proves to be both delicate and flavorful.
The menu also highlights Mediterranean flavors with dishes like beetroot and burrata drizzled with a dried fruit vinaigrette (€22), the Paris-Greece Salad featuring tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and feta (€17), and the detox quinoa with avocado, spinach sprouts, and pomegranate (€20). Seafood lovers will find plenty to enjoy, including a tuna tartare served on a bed of avocado and complemented by a sesame soy sauce (€26).
Among the offerings, you'll find reinvented classics like the truffle risotto (€40) and the capellini with lemon, sage, and creamy sauce (€28). Meat lovers will appreciate the hand-chopped beef tartare served with a selection of condiments (€25), the perfectly roasted Landes chicken with its flavorful jus (€29), or the indulgent Château filet with pepper sauce (€45).
We especially enjoyed the skate wing à la grenobloise (33€), served with lemon butter, croutons, and capers, which strikes a delightful balance between acidity and creaminess. The grilled salmon with champagne sauce and salmon roe (31€) also impressed us with its perfectly cooked texture and delicate sauce. For shellfish lovers, the scallops in lemon butter with spinach sprouts (48€) promise a truly indulgent experience.
The Jardins du Presbourg also serves classic brunch staples, such as eggs Benedict topped with bacon or smoked salmon (€26/€32), a fluffy white omelette filled with whipped ricotta and baby spinach (€18), a classic club sandwich with turkey and crispy bacon (€26), and the timeless croque-monsieur with ham and Emmental (€25).
To end on a high note, we couldn’t resist the velvety tarte tatin, as well as the red fruit pavlova (€22), delightfully light and indulgent. The dessert menu also features reimagined classics: crème brûlée (€16), chocolate profiteroles (€20), and homemade French toast (€13). Cheese lovers can opt for a Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine served with mixed greens (€12), while those craving something sweeter will be tempted by the midday gourmet coffee platter.
Note that on Sundays, the restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat brunch for €65, which includes a hot drink, eggs cooked to your liking, and a tempting array of items from the buffet: tarts, salads, croque-monsieur, fresh brioche, and a wide variety of other dishes.
The vibe at Les Jardins du Presbourg shifts throughout the day, transforming from a peaceful morning retreat to a lively evening hotspot. The restaurant offers more than just a meal—it's a true social space where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch on the terrace, have a stylish dinner accompanied by music, or simply grab a drink at the bar amidst lush greenery designed by Martin Brudnizki.
