Les étés de la Danse: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Every summer, the festival Les étés de la danse invites an international company to spend a few weeks in Paris. For this 2017 edition, from July 4 to July 22, 2017, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will perform at La Seine Musicale.

Christian Dior at Paris Musée des Arts décoratifs To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the House of Dior, the Musée des Arts décoratifs orchestrates a wonderful exhibition about Christian Dior (1905-1957), the house designer. From 5 Juy 2017 to 7 January 2018, this huge restrospective features more than 400 dresses, come and visit the exhibition through a staged journey designed with genius by Nathalie Crinière.
Climb up the Tour Saint-Jacques From June 30 to October 29, 2017, the mystic Tour Saint-Jacques, set within walking distance from Paris Hôtel de Ville, opens its doors to unveil its secrets. Last year guided tours welcomed over 5,000 visitors to discover this 54-m high tower of a medieval church featuring 300 steps.
IMAGINE VAN GOGH IMAGINE VAN GOGH is this summer great exhibition. From June 23 to October 10, 2017 at the Grande Halle de La Villette, this exhibition is to be discovered. Thanks to pictures, colors and music, you will be immersed in the painter’s impressionist universe…
Pierre Le Grand, a Tsar at the Palace of Versailles The Palace of Versailles’ exhibition about Peter the Great, a Tsar in France, returns on an international event: the Russian tsar’s stay in 1717 in France. For two months, Peter I shook protocols up: he refused to stay in the royal apartments and embraced the young king. But he made good use of his two years spent in France once he came back to St-Petersburg. Three hundred years later and from 30 May to 24 September 2017, his trip is displayed at the Palace of Versailles.
Art/Africa From mid-April to 28 August 2017, Fondation Louis Vuitton houses three small exhibitions dedicated to the current South-African and Sub-Saharan African artistic creation. Pieces from Jean Pigozzi’s art collection (1989-2009), a focus on South-African contemporary stage and an outlook of Fondation Vuitton’s African collection are unveiled before your eyes.
Paris-Plages 2017 and the Louvre From July 8 to September 3, 2017, the Louvre takes part in the Paris-Plages operation and sets up an exhibition of work reproductions from the Pont Neuf to the Tunnel des Tuileries.
113 Ors D’Asie at the Musée Guimet From June 21 to September 4, 2017, the Musée Guimet dedicates a new exhibition on how gold is used in Asia. Jewelries for Indian Maharajahs, golden coins from Afghanistan or gold powder from Japan. In total, 113 golden works of art are exhibited, the 113 Golds from Asia!
