After a major mobilization on September 18, a new day of strikes and demonstrations is being planned across the country this Thursday, October 2, 2025. Disruptions are expected on public transport and at airports.
In Paris, a demonstration is scheduled to start at 2pm, with a different route to that taken on September 18. On October 2, the procession will set off from Place d'Italie in the 13th arrondissement to Place Vauban in the 7th arrondissement. However, to ensure the smooth running of the event and"the safety of people and property", the Préfecture de police de Paris has issued a decree temporarily modifying traffic and parking in several streets in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th arrondissements of the capital.
In detail, parking for all types of vehicles is prohibited from October 1st at 2pm until October 2nd at 11pm, in the following streets and sections of streets, located in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th districts:
In addition, traffic of all kinds is prohibited on October 2 from 10am to 9pm,"within the perimeter delimited by the following roads and sections of roads in Paris 5th, 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th, which remain free to traffic":
The map showing the perimeter of the traffic ban can be found in the appendix to the order published by the Préfecture de Police.
