Tour de France Femmes 2026: the route and stages of its fifth edition

All eyes on the 2026 Women's Tour de France! The route for this fifth edition will run from August 1 to August 9, 2026. After twelve years without a women’s edition of the Grande Boucle, the women’s TDF returned in 2022 with an spectacular start on the Champs-Élysées and a highly successful edition. To keep the event in the spotlight, the organizers deliberately scheduled the women’s edition right after celle des hommes.

On the menu for the Women's Tour de France: nine stages, versus 21 for the men, kicking off on August 1 from Lausanne, Switzerland, with a finish in Nice in the south of France on August 9. The route will funnel the riders into a very tight window, unlike last year’s diagonal, threading through the Jura, the Massif Central and the Alps for a rugged, varied profile.

• 4th stage: Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon (August 4) / 21km - contre-la-montre individuel
• 5th stage: Mâcon to Belleville-en-Beaujolais (August 5) / 140km
• 6th stage: Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhône (August 6) / 153km
• 7th stage: La Voulte-sur-Rhône to Mont Ventoux (August 7) / 144km
• 8th stage: Sisteron to Nice (August 8) / 175km
