For a change from the usual climbing gyms in the capital, a new mountain-inspired facility has opened in Rueil-Malmaison, in the Hauts-de-Seine department. But it's not just bouldering you'll find here: the gym offers both free access and classes, as well as yoga, pilates and even a restaurant! Designed by Guillaume Hintzy, Pascal Martin and Sébastien Dussac, Granit is accessible to all!
Designed to reconnect climbers to their outdoor roots, with a style of climbing like on a cliff or in the mountains, its walls incorporate stone sections, and mountain culture is disseminated through books available on site, as well as regularly organized outdoor outings! If you're already used to climbing boulders, all you have to do is turn up from 18 euros!
But if you're a beginner, there are courses for all ages, in groups or on your own, and the sport can be practised from the age of 4, at the heart of theclimbing school.Climbing courses are also organized during the school vacations. All the ingredients for safe and effective progress! There's also a special area for the little ones, just 2.20 m high, where they can even celebrate their birthdays!
If climbing isn't your thing and you prefer calmer activities like yoga or pilates, take advantage of classes in Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Hatha Flow, Pilates, stretching, and muscle strengthening. After your workout, treat yourself! A bistro adds an extra touch to this spot, serving seasonal, homemade dishes that can be enjoyed indoors or on the terrace, and even a brunch for just 24 euros — perfect for Sunday adventurers!
An upscale lounge and coworking space with a library, along with a shop, round out the offerings of this extraordinary climbing gym.
