The Four Bell Towers Race combines sport with a charming pilgrimage between several historic churches in the Yvelines region. Runners will cover approximately 17 kilometers through the scenic landscapes of the Bièvre Valley. Scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, just as spring’s vibrant colors begin to bloom, this event organized by the Catholic parishes of Saint Jean-Baptiste en Josas offers a perfect opportunity to rediscover the route between the bell towers of Vélizy-Villacoublay, Buc, Les Loges-en-Josas, and Jouy-en-Josas.
Get ready for a challenging 241 meters of positive elevation gain, weaving through forest trails and country lanes, passing through charming villages and their quaint little churches! Take a moment before the start to light a candle—it's said to bring you some extra luck to cross the finish line! The race begins on the square in front of the Saint Jean-Baptiste Church in Vélizy, heading towards Buc with its historic aqueduct. Then, on to Les Loges-en-Josas, a small village where the former hunting estate of Louis XIV once stood, running along the river, before passing through Jouy-en-Josas and its renowned Jouy-en-Josas fabrics.
A race that offers the perfect blend of admiring local heritage and getting active with a scenic trail through nature, all while enjoying a unique route around historic churches to explore these centuries-old monuments adorned with stunning stained glass windows.
