You’ve no doubt heard of Mad Jacques for his weekend by hitchhiking, or for his music and cheese festivals in Île-de-France.
Bike, canoeing, gravel, hiking… There are plenty of adventures crafted by Mad Jacques to be enjoyed all across France, year in and year out. In this October 2026 edition, the spotlight shifts to the Chevreuse Valley, where a fresh journey awaits cyclists of all levels. Three days of turning the pedals to uncover this regional natural park just under an hour from Paris, offering the luxury of feeling worlds away without having to travel thousands of kilometers.
On the agenda? Two days of cycling, open to riders who want an easy-going spin as well as to top athletes. A solid level of fitness remains essential, since you’ll be pedaling for several hours each day. At the finish, a grand festive village awaits the crowd, with concerts, activities, inspiring talks and DJ sets late into the night!
To sleep, you can either bring your own tent to camp on the designated site or rent one from the organizers for an extra fee.
€134 buys you a place on the adventure, with Saturday and Sunday breakfasts included, plus a daily refreshment stand along the route. Other meals fall to festival-goers’ own accounts, with food trucks—some offering vegan and vegetarian options—serving lunch and dinner.
