The Petit Palais is the magnificent showcase of the city of Paris' Fine Arts collections - from ancient art to 19th century works. The pieces in the museum's collections come from donations or acquisitions by the city of Paris. In addition to its collections, the Petit Palais is an architectural jewel, just like its big brother, created to house the works of art for the 1900 Universal Exhibition and which became a museum in 1902.

Museum of the Liberation of Paris - Museum of General Leclerc - Museum Jean Moulin:
The Museum of the Liberation of Paris is a very beautiful museum to discover, as a family, with a history enthusiast or just as a Parisian. Through 7000 pieces, we rediscover this page of the History of Paris in a beautiful space, bright, which offers a very nice surprise, a former underground shelter at 23 meters below ground with more than 15 large rooms that served as a command post to Colonel Rol Tanguy from August 20 to 25, 2019.

Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris :
The collection of the MAM retraces all the artistic creation of the XXth century, between fauvism, surrealism, cubism, art brut, contemporary art. Nearly 8000 works are presented chronologically, with small inserts on various major artists, icons of a movement: Dubuffet, Dada, Marcel Duchamp and many others, in a new scenography, unveiled in June 2013, which highlights the beauty of the building.

Musée Bourdelle:
The Bourdelle Museum is located in the former living quarters of the artist Antoine Bourdelle (1861-1929), bequeathed by his wife and daughter to the City of Paris to display his work and personal collections. Thus, more than 2000 works - paintings, sculptures and drawings of the artist - are unveiled within the building of Montparnasse!

Museum of Romantic Life:

Musée Cognacq-Jay - the 18th century museum of the city of Paris:
The Cognacq-Jay Museum presents in the Denon mansion the private collection of the Cognacq-Jay couple including objects and works of art of the 18th century: this couple of entrepreneurs, to whom we owe the Samaritaine, art lovers, have bequeathed 1,200 objects of the period, which have charmed the couple for their beauty. We find works of Fragonard, Watteau, but also everyday objects in this surprising mini-museum!

House of Balzac :
In the heart of the old village of Passy, Balzac's house has become a museum dedicated to his work, La Comédie Humaine, which he wrote here. You can find the spirit of Balzac, manuscripts, first editions of his works, illustrated books of the 19th century and sculpted portraits... Please note that the Maison de Balzac is open free of charge outside the exhibition period!

Curie Museum:
Located in the former living quarters of Marie Curie, where she studied and taught radioactivity more than a century ago, the Curie Museum offers several educational tours and activities to discover with your family.
You can visit the scientist's office, the chemistry laboratory that has been preserved in its original state, or the amphitheater in which she gave lectures.

Museum of Art and History of Ste. Anne's Hospital:
In the museum, you will find the traces of all the medical disciplines practiced around psychiatry and brain diseases. The different stages of research and movements that formed the basis of modern psychiatry and avant-garde brain surgery are presented.

Museum of the Legion of Honor:
The Museum of the Legion of Honor gathers official texts, documents of the period but also drafts of the insignia, photographs and films of ceremonies that review the history of the Order of Merit.

Musée Cernuschi - the museum of Asian arts of the city of Paris:
The Cernuschi Museum is the museum of Asian arts of Paris, which traces the history of Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese peoples, since the Neolithic. The collection includes works acquired by the city, including 5000 works bequeathed by Henri Cernuschi in the 19th century. The masterpiece of the museum is a large bronze Buddha, which dominates the immense high ceiling room where the permanent collections are gathered.
Gallery of the carriages of the castle of Versailles:
The Coach Gallery of the Palace of Versailles, installed in the Royal Stables in front of the Palace, preserves the most beautiful coaches of Versailles, vestiges of past royalties. One can see these carriages of great pomp and circumstance, and realize the luxury of the sedans of the wedding of Napoleon I, the carriage of the coronation of Charles X, without forgetting the funeral carriage of Louis XVIII, and discover for the first time sedan chairs, the small carriages of the children of Marie-Antoinette and an astonishing collection of fancy sleighs made during the reign of Louis XV.

Air and Space Museum:
With the Concorde, Ariane 1 and 5 rockets, its Boeing 747s and planes from the beginning of the century, the Musée du Bourget offers us a beautiful representation of all flying aircraft. Note that the museum is free on the first Sunday of the month and on other days for people under 26 years old for the permanent collections.

Safran Aeronautics and Space Museum:
The Safran Aerospace Museum houses a unique collection of more than 100 aircraft, rocket and helicopter engines, most of which have been restored by the Association of Friends of the Safran Museum (aircraft engines) or by former SEP employees (rocket engines).

Ecomusée de Savigny-le-Temple (closed for inventory) :
The Ecomuseum of Savigny-le-Temple is located in the heart of a privileged site, the farm of Coulevrain, and preserves urban plans, 15000 slides but also 5000 objects, a specialized documentary fund and a set of remarkable agricultural buildings, without forgetting secular trees of the conservatory orchard to prevent the Ile-de-France heritage from disappearing.
Robert Dubois - Corneau Museum in Brunoy (91):
The museum is named after a historian, Robert Dubois-Corneau, who was interested all his life in the history of Brunoy and the Yerres valley. He bequeathed to the city of Brunoy a large collection at his death in 1951 which highlights the history of Brunoy and the Yerres Valley since the 18th century.

Foujita's house-workshop in Villiers-le-Bâcle (77) :
The Maison-atelier Foujita de Villeirs-le-Bâcle is the last residence of the artist. Purchased in October 1960, this house was entirely renovated by Foujita, who undertook extensive work to give it a modern and designer look. This house will be his studio, which can be visited.
