Every summer, Paris Plages docks in the city and turns the capital into an urban seaside escape. Since 2002, this free summer must-see has been making waves, and for its 25th edition, it returns July 4 to August 30, 2026 with a program that smells like sunscreen and sunny days by the water.
This year, we double the refreshment with six spots to dive into the water! The must-sees bassin de la Villette, canal Saint-Martin, and parc des Rives de Seine are back, but there are also three swimming sites: the Bras Marie (Paris 4), the Bras de Grenelle (15th), and the Quai de Bercy (12th).
On the programme? Lifeguarded swimming, water activities, workshops for little deckhands, board games, books to read with your toes in the sun, exhibitions to stroll through, and a whole bunch of free activities.
What’s more, this edition 2026 is taking on American vibes! In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence, Paris Plages goes full US mode. On the horizon? A program designed to spotlight American culture through a wide array of themed activities and special events, with the lineup set to be unveiled very soon.
