The 11th arrondissement is set to welcome a fresh foodie hotspot: Café Kodomo, in the Folie-Méricourt district. Behind the project, Clément et Sandra have crafted a space that sits halfway between a neighborhood canteen and a coffee shop, drawing inspiration from Taiwan and from Japan.

The establishment also distinguishes itself with a stated aim of welcoming families, a positioning relatively rare among Parisian cafés. If the two owners have made their stance clear, Café Kodomo should thus sit in the tradition of Asian coffee shops: a calm atmosphere, service available all day, and simple, unpretentious food.

Specialty coffees, teas, homemade pastries, Japanese sandwiches, slow-cooked small plates and sweets inspired by both countries should thus make up the establishment’s menu, where people come as much for lunch as for an afternoon break, for a coffee as for settling in en famille.
