In the hushed shadow of the Champs-Élysées, La Réserve Paris has established itself as a confidential palace since its opening in 2015. Housed in a private mansion dating back to 1854, meticulously renovated and designed for privacy, it embodies understated elegance, combining Haussmannian history, contemporary design and Michelin-starred gastronomy.

In the crowded Parisian landscape of grand hotels, La Réserve Paris - Hôtel & Spa stands out for its discreet approach. The building, erected in 1854, originally belonged to the family of the Duc de Morny, Napoleon III's half-brother, and successively welcomedaristocratic residents before being converted into a hotel residence under the era of Pierre Cardin.

In 2009, Michel Reybier acquired the property, launched a major restoration under the aegis of architects Bach & Nguyen and decorator Jacques Garcia, then inaugurated the hotel on January 19, 2015. The hotel was quickly awarded the Palace distinction the following year.

With its Haussmann façades and 19thᵉ century soul, discover the secrets of this exceptional setting.

Roots and transformations of this historic building

La Réserve Paris is strategically located in the 8ᵉ arrondissement, at the corner of Avenue Gabriel and Rue du Cirque, set back from the Champs-Élysées. Under the Second Empire, Avenue Gabriel extended the route of Avenue des Champs-Élysées towards Place de la Concorde, marking the extension of the Haussmannian grand Paris.

In 1854, the building was built for the family of the Duc de Morny. It served as a private residence until 1888, when it was sold to an insurance company. In the 20ᵉ century, the building changed hands and vocation several times, until, under Pierre Cardin, it became the Résidence Hôtel Maxim's, an operation that closed in 2009. Under Pierre Cardin, the building retained its cachet, but structurally required extensive renovation.

When Michel Reybier took over, he opted for a façadisme - the historic facades were preserved, while the interior was completely redesigned. The original main staircase was reassembled, and charming period features such as molded ceilings and marble fireplaces were restored. Decorator Jacques Garcia orchestrates the interior spaces in a refined blend of Second Empire, Belle Époque andcontemporary influences.

The furnishings feature velvet drapes, fine woodwork, herringbone parquet flooring, Carrara marble, antique furniture and touches of antiques. The spa and 16-metre swimming pool - rare in the heart of Paris - are integrated into the finished basement, so as not to disturb the formal elegance of the premises.

Gastronomy and confidential atmosphere

La Réserve Paris boasts 15 rooms and 25 suites, some of which are over 200 m² in size. Each one is different, designed like a Parisian apartment, with a lounge, library, large bay windows and views of the Grand Palais, Eiffel Tower and Concorde obelisk. The welcome is discreet: no imposing reception, but attentive service with personal butler and privacy.

The three-star Le Gabriel restaurant, headed by chef Jérôme Banctel, offers contemporary French cuisine acclaimed by the Michelin guide, while the Pagode de Cos offers international cuisine with a twist. The Duc de Morny library and Le Gaspard bar invite you to take an intellectual break and relax in style, while the Nescens spa offers a wellness interlude with swimming pool, hammam, treatment rooms and detox cure.

La Réserve Paris is not just a prestigious hotel, it's an address whereHaussmannian history meets the demands of the present, without ostentation.
