On Rue de Clignancourt, in the 18th arrondissement, Atelier Dürüm is a family affair, before becoming a must-visit address in the neighborhood. On the menu? Generous, homemade cuisine, inspired above all by the traditional cuisine of southeast Turkey.

Here, the specialty is dürüm, a Turkish patty filled with spice-marinated meat, fresh vegetables and herbs. Choose from beef and lamb Adana, French chicken dürüm, vegetarian or vegan versions... Everything is served fresh, prepared before your very eyes (literally) and served with a salad-tomato-onion-arugula-parsley base, according to the traditional Turkish recipe: we also recommend that you accompany your dürüm with oven-roasted vegetables (extra charge), which go very well with it!

If you're feeling a bit peckish,Atelier Dürüm also offers lentil and vegetable soup, prepared according to a recipe by Anne - the founder of the restaurant with her husband - perfect for a chilly winter's day, as well aslahmacun (a thin bread dough on which beef and lamb stuffing is rolled out) and börek (crescent-shaped, filled with spinach shoots and feta)..... Everything is made fresh on the premises, from starters to desserts, including drinks such asAyran, fermented milk served in a large bowl. For dessert, l'Atelier's artisan pastry chef offers his homemade baklava (honey, filo pastry and pistachio desserts), kunefe (a pastry made with caramelized angel hair, cheese and pistachio) served piping hot, and Sütlac, a rice pudding baked in the oven.

But beforeAtelier Dürüm became a neighborhood canteen, it was above all a family affair. At the end of the 80s, Anne and her husband, the current founders of l'Atelier, left Turkey to set up their own restaurant in France, with the aim of sharing a little of their cuisine, passed down from generation to generation. They opened their very first restaurant, in the currentAtelier Dürüm premises, and had three children, Yeliz, Emin and Gokhan, who have since taken up the torch with a small menu where homemade food and quality products take pride of place.
