If you're a fan of typicalFrench cuisine, we've got just what you're looking for. At Astier, you'll enjoy dishes such as frogs' legs with parsley sauce, quenelle of sea bream and hare à la royale. The flavors are straightforward, the products well worked, the cooking just right, and each plate reminds us why we keep coming back to Astier.
Astier offers an attractive lunch menu from Monday to Saturday, perfect for discovering quality cuisine at a reasonable price: €25 for a starter/main course or main course/dessert, or €29 for a full menu. The à la carte menu features seasonal products, such as scallops roasted in shells, served with leek fondue, or Simmental beef fillet with pepper sauce and homemade pommes Dauphine.
We love the elegant Pâté en croute and the marinated herring and potatoes, served in their own terrine.
It's impossible to visit Astier without taking a look at its cheese platter, the star of the show. Carefully designed in collaboration with Maison Anthès, the platter offers an exceptional selection to enjoy alone or to share.
For dessert, the famous Tanzanian dark chocolate soufflé, ordered at the start of the meal, and the Bally rum baba are perfect examples of the French art of pastry-making. Light and melt-in-the-mouth, with a hint of the rest to awaken the taste buds, we love it.
Astier also stands out for its exceptional wine list, featuring over 200 carefully selected references. It features prestigious estates such as Clos Rougeard and Château Latour, while celebrating innovative winemakers such as Bobinet, Bretaudeau and Thomas Pico. From grand crus to daring discoveries, each bottle is designed to harmoniously accompany your meal.
Astier has, as it were, stayed true to his roots. This gives it an old-fashioned charm that will appeal to those in search of authenticity. With its upstairs lounge for up to 40 guests, the address lends itself equally well to business meals and intimate celebrations. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, this is the perfect venue for private or professional events.
Open every day, even on Sundays and Mondays, Astier is a must for lovers of traditional Parisian cuisine, bistrots and bourgeois cooking. Come and sample this veritable institution, and let yourself be seduced by the authenticity of a place where every dish and every glass of wine tells a story.
