Decadent, no-holds-barred sandwiches, with gourmet recipes at the right price - that's how you could sum up the Sandwich de Bâtard concept. In the beginning, Mehdi, a passionate self-taught craftsman, started concocting his overflowing creations in the middle of a confinement, and they quickly caught on. Thus were born Mehdi's Sandwiches. Over the past few years, Mehdi's Sandwiches have gone from counter to counter, conquering palates and earning the title of Sandwich de Bâtard.
The time has now come for Sandwich de Bâtard to open its own Parisian outlet in the 11th arrondissement, on Avenue Philippe Auguste. The promise? Hearty sandwiches and dishes, as generous as if concocted by the family, with good value for money: we said "sandwich de bâtard", not "sandwich de crevard".

In this restaurant, three formats are offered: the Bâtard (14€), the most gourmet, the one you might find hard to get over if you're not prepared, the petite Frappe (8€) for bird-like appetites, and finally the assiette for those who prefer to avoid bread (replaced by a starchy base). Simmered beef, shredded lamb, lacquered chicken or Tunisian tajine are just some of the gourmet recipes on the menu, with a twist featuring "les petits plats de la daronne", a more bistro-style plate behind which a comforting boeuf bourguignon, for example, can be hidden.

We are promised homemade, seasonal produce, but also value for money. Meats are halal and of French origin. As for beverages, Mehdi makes it a point of honor to offer only homemade, French or European beverages, and plans to honor French independent brewers and distillers from the Paris region. So we're all set for the kick-off on May 15, 2025!
