Close to the Champs-Elysées is set – rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré – a lovely trattoria called Giusé. This Italian family-owned restaurant serves very hearty dishes.
Behind Giusé hide siblings Grégory and Sébastien Mancuso. Giusé is their father’s name. Grégory Mancuso works as the pizzaiolo chef, alongside chef Vittorio Beltramelli. The latter was already behind the stove at the exquisite NoLita restaurant, set at the top of the Fiat showroom, down the Champs-Elysées, already hosted by the Mancuso brothers. A restaurant that shut down definitively.
Giusé is a very tasty address attracting many people, including celebrities.
On the trattoria’s menu, enjoy many Italian specialties: Neapolitan pizzas, pastas, carpaccios, cold cuts and cheeses… As a starter, the vitello tonnato based on low-temperature cooked veal is both fine – in the taste – and hearty – in quantity. The salmon carpaccio is as generous, seasoned with oranges and pink berries, a wonderful mix of flavors. It is served with fennel, an ingredient more and more used lately.
Pastas, spaghetti, penne, tagliatelle, are served in different fashions: carbonara, with clams, King Crab… As for the delicious pizzas, they are topped with prestigious ingredients: vodka-flambéed shrimps for the Cacio Pepe, tuna ventresca for the Giuseppe, or even black truffle in the Tartufo.
Moving on to desserts, if you still have room for some sweet treats, Giusé serves the greatest Italian classics: tiramisu, panna cotta, and cannolo siciliano. These cannolo – rather poor in sugar – are a true surprise, stuffed with cocoa and fresh raspberries.
Giusé recipes are to change over the year and seasons, and are served by the very friendly and voluble Matteo Paltrinieri and his team.
As for drinks, Giusé pairs your meal with cocktails or Italian wines. On Giusé wine list, enjoy Moscato d’Asti – among others.
And this summer, the restaurant has set a terrace with many plants. Inside, Giusé decoration is rather chic. And the first floor even features a more lounge-inspired area.
Feel like enjoying a tasty Italian restaurant? Giusé trattoria is the place to go!
