La Maison Faitout, a bar-restaurant and a welcoming community hub with a garden in Paris’s 20th arrondissement.

For a sunny summer coffee break, a space to telework in optimal conditions or a nice grill restaurant, Maison Faitout establishes itself as the new gathering place of the Pyrénées district, in the 20th arrondissement. The project, created inside former SNCF premises abandoned for more than 50 years and then rehabilitated, offers a gourmet neighborhood canteen and a spot that certainly counts among the must-visits of this residential area. D'ailleurs, c'est à cela que Maison Faitout tient son nom : un lieu où l'on peut tout faire, de l'anniversaire pour enfants au dîner en tête-à-tête, en passant par les réunions en visio ou les déjeuners entre collègues.

On the ground floor, a bar and café open all day, with its beautiful terrace and its 200 m² garden in good weather, overlooking a stretch of the Petite Ceinture of the 20th, upstairs, a restaurant that bets on grilled dishes for its menu. So, while you can enjoy tapas, served all day, there’s also a lunch deal for midday, a kids’ menu... "We follow the seasons and work the menu with plenty of vegetables", explains François, manager and operations director of Maison Faitout. By the way, the place refreshes its offerings every three months, but keeps its braising-first cooking approach—healthier than frying (for example) and particularly original. Among the restaurant’s bestsellers, François recommends the savory fine tart, or the pork belly, or the squid, all braised to deliver a very fresh cuisine.

For a little afternoon bite, the venues also offer homemade cakes, all kinds of coffees… And a happy hour to enjoy a drink early in the evening (from 5 to 8 pm). Within a year, Maison Faitout plans to open a link to the Petite Ceinture in the 20th arrondissement, so you can start or end your restaurant outing with a pleasant stroll along this quiet stretch of the route. A great address to discover in the 20th!
