For several years, Parisians have been used to admire or take part in the traditional Saint Patrick's Day parade. The parade will not take place in 2022: organizers of the event have decided to avoid such an event to limit Covid-19 contamination risks.

No Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Paris this year! Like in 2020 and in 2021, the Irish parade will not take place because of the Covid-19 epidemic. Contacted by us, the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris confirms that although many events have been organized this year to celebrate March 17, 2022, the parade will not walk the streets. The Irish in Paris association confirms Covid-19-related risks are still too high: both institutions have decided there will be no parade to prevent a too big gathering of people.

Despite the disappointment, the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris invites you to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day as it should be with a series of events promoting the Irish gastronomy, music and culture. This Christian celebration traditionally celebrated on March 17 is a genuine moment of sharing and friendship that could be summed up in three words: beer, music and dance. And do not forget you shall dress in green

In 2018, the Irish Cultural Center and the Irish in France association held their first Saint Patrick's Day parade in the city. A major popular celebration that quickly delighted Parisians. This parade would have celebrated its fifth edition this year. Unfortunately, the party came to a sudden end: in 2020, the parade was cancelled over the pandemic. We hope we will meet again with the merry atmosphere of this great parade next year.

The parade usually leaves from the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris 5th arrondissement at 1 p.m. before walking around the Panthéon, by the Université de la Sorbonne, the rue Mouffetard...

The festive parade will not take place, but you can still celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in Paris! Concerts, gourmet discoveries, parties, Irish heritage, family-friendly events... Here is the program of this unique celebration.
