If you were born in the 80s or early 90s and watched"Le Club Dorothée" as a child, you'll be familiar with Sailor Moon, the Japanese heroine of a series, manga, video game and anime, broadcast in France on TF1 between 1993 and 1997.
The 5 warriors of the universe, Sailor Moon and her friends Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus are also the subject of shows.
"Sailor Moon: the super live" will be performed in France, on November 3 and 4, 2018, at the Palais des Congrès, as part of"Japonismes 2018", a series of cultural events organized to celebrate the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Japan.
As early as 1993,"Sailor Moon" was adapted as a musical. In 2013, the show was remounted to celebrate its 20th anniversary, with no less than two versions: a special version with Japanese idol group Nogizaka 46 and " Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" The Super Live, the one to be performed in France, which premiered in Japan last August and will leave the Land of the Rising Sun for the first time to come to Paris.
The Paris performances will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Sailor Moon franchise. For the occasion, the heroines will be living out never-before-seen stories on stage for almost 80 minutes.
So whether you're an absolute fan of Japanese culture, or whether"Sailor Moon" was part of your childhood, look no further for a good reason to go and see"Sailor Moon: the super live", because the magically-powered teenagers won't be coming back to Paris anytime soon - they've got too much to do to fight evil!
