In the Motte-Picquet district, in Paris's 15th arrondissement, Abstinence embodies the spirit of a convivial, gourmet table, designed for reunions around shareable plates. The venue, with its décoration soignée, welcomes diners under a verdant glass roof or on the terrace when the weather allows, in an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed.

From Fitz Group, the name behind Vesper, Fitzgerald, and Hollywood Savoy, Abstinence leans into a generous kitchen—well-crafted plates, seasonal ingredients, and a real sense of sharing.

For Mother's Day, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Abstinence in Paris’s 15th arrondissement hosts a special brunch. Priced at €48 per person, the package covers pastries and toast, a main course of your choice, a dessert, and juice plus hot drinks.

Highlights for the day include spinach and mushroom Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale with smoked salmon, or a grandmother-style roast chicken, ending with chocolate-hazelnut crêpes or strawberry French toast. A Champagne Brunch with Billecart-Salmon at €95 is also on offer, along with a children’s menu at €25.

In the kitchen, Abstinence embraces a bistronomique, generous, and sunny approach, with seasonal produce and plates designed for sharing. The menu places a strong emphasis on bold pairings, meticulous cooking, and a selection of natural, organic, and biodynamic wines.

On the menu, Abstinence opts for conviviality with a multitude of sharing plates, sometimes small, sometimes truly generous. Seated under the beautiful green, plant-filled glass roof or on a sunny terrace, we dive in and discover a generous cuisine designed to circulate around the center of the table.

Starting with the excellent Landes white asparagus, jasmine and candied egg yolk (14€), the delicately spiced artichoke cream with summer truffle and fried peppers (13€) and the egg mayo mimosa topped with a generous spoonful of caviar (28€). This is the perfect way to get our mouths watering for what's to come.

Next up are the pea and gorgonzola gnocchi (12€), which we're delighted with, and the truly original gastro mini-burgerswith veal sweetbreads (22€), accompanied by a hint of horseradish for extra zing, and baby spinach for freshness; finishing with the grilled octopus, zucchini cream and cucumber (26€).

Granted, prices aren't the cheapest in the area, but if you prefer to trust the chef with your eyes closed, take note that a daily menu at €35 changes according to arrivals and chef Lucas Felzine's whims!

For those with a sweet tooth, don't forget the banana and chocolate churros (€9), which bring back our fondest memories of summer fairs, or the original ice creams and sorbets turbinated on site.

In the evening, the atmosphere changes asAbstinence transforms into a wine bar, featuring some 50 fine natural, organic and biodynamic bottles, as well as signature cocktails .
