We're off to discover Nessia, the restaurant that opened at 6, rue Charles François Dupuis in Paris's 3rd arrondissement . Just a stone's throw from the République metro station, this bistro is sure to please. On arrival, you'll discover a pretty room with a tasteful decor that makes you want to sit down in the cosy velvet chairs.
With marble-effect tables, wall lamps for a muted ambience and gilding for a modern-chic touch, the restaurant is welcoming. Opposite us is the cocktail bar with its row of chairs (with a direct view of the kitchens), where you can relax in the evening with a good cocktail in hand.

At Nessia, they've decided to offer us fresh cuisine with a taste of travel. The menu is short and changes with the seasons, adapting to the best produce and the mood of the moment.
The menu at Nessia is spontaneous, well-crafted, easy to understand and convivial. Good products selected with care, a touch of creativity while remaining simple, here's what you need to have a good time.
While we were there, we tried the Tomates anciennes and burrata heart, with burnt eggplant cream and Taggiasche black olive vinaigrette. We fell for the excellent Sea Bass Sashimi with green shiso, pomegranate molasses and a wakame-raspberry condiment with rice chips. Great combinations that awaken our taste buds for what's to come. We've also added the excellent Baos de veau confit à la truffe, which we recommend you share.
As for the main course, that day's lunchtime special (€24 main + dessert or €29 main + main + dessert) featured a pan-fried skate wing with beet, which we snapped up. We also opted for the fondant Saumon confit aux zucchinis du jardin et pommes de terre grenaille accompanied by a full-bodied shellfish jus, and the Poitrine de veau grillée, à la confiture de poivrons rouges et tomates au jus de miel et origan, most divine.
Just-cooked, with tasty sauces and beautiful combinations, you'll have a great time. Let yourself be seduced by this fragrant, no-frills market cuisine. The desserts end with the regressive Mousse chocolat au lait feuillantine tiédie and the ultra-gourmand Tiramisu for two. Strangely enough, I turned around and my sidekick had already eaten everything! It's a shame we'll have to come back...
The basement of the restaurant also conceals a hidden speakeasy. A room where wine display cabinets complete the hushed decor, the ideal setting for crazy private parties.
