You don't have much time for lunch, but you're still looking for an exceptional place? Restaurant Bonnie, with its splendid view over the whole of Paris, should be just what you're looking for. Just a stone's throw from Sully-Morland, the restaurant is located on the top floor of the SO/ Paris Hotel.
Whether you're seated in the large, retro-style dining room, or on the sunny terrace, the view of Paris is breathtaking. The Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Coeur, Notre-Dame... you can see most of the capital's monuments. The glass walls give an impression of grandeur without inducing vertigo. Once you've made yourself comfortable in front of this splendid view, Restaurant Bonnie offers a lunch menu at €45 (starter + main course) or €55 (starter, main course, dessert). Everything is supposed to be served within 45 minutes, thanks to their new "Power Lunch" concept.
The Power Lunch menu offers a choice of two starters, two main courses and two desserts. Of course, if you'd rather take your time and not opt for the quick option, Bonnie also has a menu with plenty of choices. We started with coleslaw and egg avocado, which are hard-boiled eggs served with avocado guacamole in place of mayonnaise. Both starters were hearty and tasty enough.
For the main courses, Bonnie' s à la carte menu offered a choice of fish: salmon pavé with Béarnaise sauce and spinach salad; or meat: beef fillet and sucrine salad. We tried a dish of each, with a particular preference for the fish, perfectly cooked and ideal for a light lunch. For meat lovers, the beef fillet was generous, although the accompaniment was limited to a few sucrine leaves.
If you still have room,Bonnie 's "Power Lunch" menu offers a café gourmand or crêpes Suzette. We tried the café gourmand, perfect for sharing (as long as you order a coffee as well!), made up of four small mignardises: mini lemon tart, small chocolate éclair, and so on. For €55, the menu is copious and the setting exceptional. On the other hand, we were served in just over 45 minutes, so it's best to make it clear when you come that you really do have this limited time for lunch.
