The Big Mamma family is pulling out all the stops! Six years after their last Parisian address, the transalpine crew is firing up the stoves again on the Left Bank: at the end of 2025, Gloria Osteria will open on Rue de Lille, a stone's throw from the Musée d'Orsay, in a 1905 Art Nouveau setting, the former Maison des Dames des Postes, Télégraphes et Téléphones.
Already a star in Milan, Gloria is playing the diva in Paris in a setting inspired by 1970s Italian villas. The restaurant plays on an elegant black and white palette, spiced up with vintage and colorful touches, in a nod to Franco Magnani. Furniture by famous Italian designers, from Gio Ponti to Franco Albini, flirts with antique pieces, alongside Jacopo Foggini's monumental chandeliers, gilded mirrors, Murano glass lamps, scarves, Italian designer jewelry, and vinyl records galore. All orchestrated by the group's design studio, for a timeless and resolutely Italian couture aesthetic.
In the kitchen, chef Francesco Fronda's team celebrates Italian tradition with a southern accent. Fresh mozzarella and burrata from Puglia, 24-month aged DOP prosciutto, artisanal olive oil from Sicily, ancient flours from Tuscany... here, each product proudly bears its Italian passport, stamped with the seal of high standards and proximity to producers. On the menu, the great classics take on a couture feel: a revisited Osso Buco, casoncelli stuffed with lobster and lemon ricotta, or white truffle risotto. When it comes to desserts, the dolci hold their own: generous tiramisu, chocolate-pistachio soufflé with a molten center, and panna cotta with Sicilian citrus fruits.
At the bar, creativity extends to the shaker: Burrata Gin Ramos, an unexpected combination of gin, orange blossom, and a cloud of burrata; Negroni Safran with warm accents; or Espresso Martini with truffle. Lovers of the great classics can opt for a Martini, a Manhattan or a Sazerac prepared at the table, in the purest spirit of the gesture. And to accompany it all, an extensive wine list: nearly 300 lively references, combining organic family estates, confidential vintages and rare verticals.
