La Galerie, located opposite the famous Le George gourmet restaurant in the right wing of the Four Seasons George V Paris palace, has reinvented itself with a new menu that's sure to please.
Settle into one of the beautiful banquettes or armchairs in this 19th-century setting, the heart of the hotel, to enjoy a meal that combines French culinary heritage, creativity and modernity, thanks to the talent ofAlan Taudon.
To refresh his menu, the chef has teamed up with small local producers and market gardeners, nestled just a few kilometers from Paris and carefully selected for the quality of their produce and their responsible approach.
One of the most appealing discoveries is the Fleur de Tourteau et radis, which appears like a flower on the plate. Those in search of authenticity will be seduced by the famous leek vinaigrette fondant, candied whole to preserve all its aromas. It is served with an egg and a fine vinaigrette as a condiment.
Our favorite is theOeuf Parfait with mushrooms from the Paris region, of course. Just the right amount of cooking, and a combination that works, it's sure to please.
On the main course, there are sure-fire favourites like Coquillettes à la truffe and Croque Prince de Paris, with black truffle and 36-month Comté cheese. The famous blue lobster from Brittany is also on offer. And of course, we've fallen for the divine Croque au bon pain. Probably the best in Paris.
Vegetarians and healthy food lovers alike will opt for the beautiful Ratatouille, which can be gobbled up quickly and which has the merit of being prepared with a broth of peelings to spoil nothing.
To end the meal on a high note, or for a divine snack, we've fallen for Michael Bartocetti's beautiful creations. The talented pastry chef delights us here with a gourmet Paris Brest, a divine Chocolate Soufflé and a crazy Madagascar Vanilla Millefeuille.
Whether you're a hotel guest or a Parisian gourmet, here's something for everyone to enjoy in an idyllic setting.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
