Maxim’s made the most of the forced shutdown to renew itself and reinvent its cruise offer. No more big dinner-cruises with lots and lots of guests. Please enjoy a cabaret cruise, in a smaller group, with tables separated enough to let you have more privacy between dinner and quality musical cabaret show.

Operated with Paris Seine, aboard Le Vert Galant boat, Maxim’s sur Seine cabaret cruise provides a 2.5-hour ride on the water, to music and flavors. After departing from the Port de Solférino, at the foot of the Musée d'Orsay, Maxim’s dinner-cruise-cabaret first heads to Eastern Paris, all the way to Bercy, before going back and ride the river the other way, all the way to the Statue of Liberty, in the 16^th arrondissement, at the same time as New-York New-York is played in the boat.

Musical entertainment is provided by pianist Didier and singer Aurélia May who sings in front of tables and like a diva, she changes her outfit several times. In their repertoire, French song classics, La Bohème, La Javanaise, Mon Amant de Saint-Jean, Emmenez-moi, Je ne regrette rien, La vie en rose or even Les Champs-Elysées, sang along the monuments of Paris. As well as international hits, Fly me to the Moon, Stand by me, Shallow or Proud Mary to which Aurélia encourages us to dance.

Although the musical show is great, what is served on the plates is incredible. Let us be honest, we not always have a great image of dinner-cruise, as it is often linked to mass tourism and mediocrity. But this is not the case at all here. For each course, 4 choices are available to choose from. And the menu complies with seasons.

Right away, appetizers – including the famous scallop tartare with mango and pomegranate – are delightful. Then, the lobster ravioli starter is fabulous. The yellow poultry supreme, very hearty, is served with snow pea cream and is great. But the soft chocolate cake served for dessert is a bit disappointing.

Le Vert Galant boat does not provide an outdoor area, but it has A/C, which is very enjoyable right now. The cruise speed is slow enough to enjoy the views and meal smoothly.
