Movie and original soundtrack fans, this concert was made for you. Conductor Matthias G. Kendliger and his philharmonic orchestra will pay tribute to composer John Williams by performing his greatest soundtracks on September 25, 2020 at Paris Le Grand Rex.

If cine-concerts have been riding high for several years already with many sessions organized around movies of all kinds (action, medieval fantasy, adventure, animation, science-fiction…), original movie scores success doesn’t need further proof and every year, many concerts and events promoting movie soundtracks are held.

And 2020 is no exception…
On Friday September 25, 2020 Le Grand Rex will welcome on the stage of its big room composer and conductor Matthias G. Kendlinger who – accompanied by his K&K “made in Austria” philharmonic concert – will perform the most famous movie soundtracks by John Williams during the event “The Very Best of John Williams”.

And do we need to remind that it’s to the 1932-born American composer we owe movie soundtracks of “E.T. The Extraterrestrial”, “Star Wars”, “Harry Potter”, “Indiana Jones”, “Jurassic Park”, “Minority Report”, “The Patriot”, “Saving Private Ryan”, “Seven Years in Tibet” and even “Home Alone” to name just them?

Even though he’s alive and well, tributes to John Williams’ work for movies have been increasing.
And if you can’t wait until September 2020 to enjoy live John Williams’ compositions, you can still, in the meantime, attend “John Williams vs Hans Zimmer” by the Yellow Socks Orchestra this upcoming December 28 at Paris Salle Pleyel.
