They performed an incredible set this past June in Clisson for the 14th edition of the Hellfest. If you missed them on the Mainstage 1, it’s time to catch up as Lynyrd Skynyrd are back in France in 2020. For this new show, the famous band coming from Jacksonville, Florida, will play its southern rock in the very beautiful venue that Seine Musicale is, in Boulogne Billancourt, on Monday July 6. This is some good news for the many fans of the American formation who may have already had the chance to see them live five years ago at the Palais des Sports – Dôme de Paris.
The band will also play at the very beautiful Arène de Nimes on June 29. To get your tickets, be ready because the Gérard Drouot Productions presale is on, on Monday December 9 from 10 a.m. (CET).
With over 30 million albums sold worldwide, Lynyrd Skynyrd have been at the Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame since 2006 and remain a musical reference for many people, especially thanks to the release of their second opus “Second Helping” in 1974. Marked by hit “Sweet Home Alabama”, this album has been certified platinum several times.
Then, followed albums “Gimme Back my Bullets” and “Street Survivor” released only three days before the awful plane crash that killed singer Ronnie Van Zant and guitarist Steve Gaines.
The band finally reunited 10 years later with the survivors and Johnny Van Zant – Ronnie’s brother – as the singer. Following Billy Powell’s death in 2009, guitarist Gary Rossington remains the only original member of the band still alive.
This next July 6, a piece of advice, be there to enjoy Lynyrd Skynyrd south rock live in Paris.
